COMMENTS:
The First Quarter Moon is perhaps the best phase to observe the wealth of craters and mountain ranges within reach of even the smallest, cheapest telescope.  Scanning along the terminator, the boundary between day and night, is breathtaking to observe and offers many targets to photograph.
